National Museum of Egyptian reform to revitalize the tourism industry to start


To rebuild the image of the tourism industry, the Egyptian authorities on November 15 announced the launch of the National Museum of the transformation plan, is expected to invest up to $ 4.3 million (about 26.21 million yuan).
Under the plan, the museum walls and floor color will be restored to look like 111 years ago. Meanwhile, the museum's lighting and security systems will be upgraded to international standards. Famous exhibition "Tutankhamun's Treasure" will be moved to the museum under construction in Giza continue on display. For new botanical garden and outdoor area located between the museum and the Nile a building will be demolished. The building was once the headquarters of Mubarak's National Democratic Party, was burned in turmoil.
It is reported that the completion of the renovation project will be co-Egypt and Germany. German head of Cultural and Education Section of the Embassy in Egypt said it will have 12 German experts went to Cairo for technical assistance, the German cultural preservation fund and the International Migration and Development Centre has given financial support.
Egyptian Antiquities Minister Mohammed Ibrahim said the move is intended to send a positive message to the world from Egypt. The past two years, due to the unrest, the Egyptian tourism industry was hit, the number of foreign tourists plummeted. October 2013, the Egyptian tourism income is only 7 million Egyptian pounds (about 6.19 million yuan), while revenue in October 2010, compared with 111 million Egyptian pounds (about 98.23 million yuan).
